The Starving Games (2013) - Review

What else is there to say about parody movies that hasn’t already been said?  Probably nothing, but I’m going to retread it again anyway.  This particular gem is a Seltzerberg production, the guys that brought us Date Movie, Meet the Spartans, and yes, even Epic Movie!  If that previous sentence didn’t steer you away, then allow me to be perfectly clear: THIS MOVIE BLOWS.  But you knew that.  Everybody knows that parody movies suck (not to be confused with the terribad Twilight parody Vampires Suck).

Wow looks almost as good as the real thing.
If you’ve seen The Hunger Games (and a handful of other blockbusters) then you’ve seen this.  There are no laughs to be had, although the lead actress does a pretty solid Jennifer Lawrence impression.  She has none of the talent or likability as J-Law, of course, but she kind of looks and sounds like her, so TWO THUMBS UP.

This movie has an “Annoying Orange” spoof in it, for the love of god.  If you know what Annoying Orange is, then you should know how grave of an offense this is.  If not, then please for the love of shit do NOT look it up.

I don’t really have anything else to say about this movie.  I hate it.  And I hope you read this, Seltzerberg.  Your movies suck, guys.
